Care:

Hand washing separately is recommended and dry flat.

All yarn is hand dyed and therefore no skein is identical. I recommend alternating between skeins throughout your project to prevent pooling of colours. If you purchase multiple skeins of the same colourway, they will be from the same dye-lot unless otherwise stated.

Hand-dyed using professional acid dyes.

EU and worldwide Customers

Everything sold to customers outside of the UK is sold with taxes ‘delivered at place.’

This means customers will be due to pay duties taxes in their own country at their countries rate. Please note that we cannot be responsible for charges incurred on goods entering countries outside of the UK.

We are exploring IOSS registration and have not found a reliable or affordable resolution but do not want our EU customers to miss out on all our fabulous yarn, so we continue to use our Etsy shop for our EU customers.  However, EU customers should expect both VAT and Customs charges at their end, we cannot be responsible for these. There is also a risk of parcels being held at customs.

For all non-UK customers, please do check what the import value limits are, and whether you are likely to be charged VAT on your order, when it goes through customs in your country.

All our yarn is dyed to try and prevent striping or pooling as much as possible. In hand dyed yarn, this creates a random/softer variegated effect that looks amazing in plain stockinette but also works fabulously with more complicated and textural stitch motifs.

Dye lots are not available as dyes are applied by hand in small quantities – therefore no two hanks are exactly the same, even in the same batch. As such, it is always advisable to alternate skeins of hand dyed yarn to create even colour in larger projects.

IMPORTANT!
Some of the intense colours, particularly the pinks/reds/yellows, are naturally more prone to bleeding. I strongly recommend pre-washing bright colours if you are doing colourwork or striping to avoid disappointment in your finished garment. Putting a colour catcher in your blocking bath can help with this.

I’ve taken all possible steps to make these bright hues as colourfast as possible and have indicated this tendency on all colours that are more prone to bleeding. This is just a natural result of the smaller dye particles of super bright or fluorescent dyes. Be aware that these hues *may* bleed into lighter colours if you don’t take the time to wash and rinse until every trace of colour is gone.
